I'm not sure why it's called this, but we had this a lot when I was growing up. It's good with canned peaches, fruit cocktail... and probably just about any other kind of fruit that comes in a can!
MOUNTAIN PIE

Mix a batter of:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

It's called mountain pie because it's from the mountains of Appalachia. And you forgot to say to serve it in a bowl with milk poured over it. Mmmmmmm.....
That's because I like it with a scoop of ice cream! ;)
Although it's so rich that ice cream is often too much... pouring milk over it is probably best.
